RMS Directors
TESSA MEADOWS-SMITH
Before setting up RMS, Tessa’s career has been developed over a range of positions and industry sectors in London, Sydney and Hong Kong.
Her recruitment experience spans across 10 years including five years in a leading recruitment consultancy. This gave her a firm foundation by providing first-rate recruitment training and a wide spectrum of responsibility, equipping her with the range of skills to run a successful recruitment business. Her success at this top secretarial agency was epitomised by the transformation of a fading, failing division into a profitable one. She was given responsibility for training both new and experienced consultants on recruitment law, financial targeting and sales principles having successfully attained an industry accredited recruitment qualification.
After five years of working in recruitment, Tessa spent the next two years working on the financial management and recruitment of a new and high growth US management consultancy where she was responsible for setting up its operations and financial controls and over the two years saw it grow from a small satellite office to a medium-sized leader in its field.
Tessa joined forces with Kate Rawlings to form RMS Recruitment where her business acumen balanced well with Kate’s client credentials.

KATE RAWLINGS
Following a number of years working for an exclusive champagne house in France and a fashion house in the West End, Kate sought out a career where she could use her charm and social skills to fulfil her career ambitions.
She spent the next four years at a leading secretarial recruitment consultancy where she became the top fee earner, managing a team of six consultants, and developing an exclusive and enviable client base. Kate then took up the opportunity to live and work in Budapest recruiting middle management for a major search and selection company where she used her English charm in overcoming the language and commercial barriers and successfully placed candidates in a fiercely tough recruitment market.
On her return to the UK, Kate was approached to work with a senior consultant recruiting for the recruitment industry and after two years had developed a client base that she could transfer into the secretarial market and use to start her own business. Kate then joined forces with Tessa, whom she had worked with for four years previously, combining her successful career in recruitment with Tessa’s operational expertise.
