Our Service
Some of our clients are recruiting through an agency for the first time or are too small to have an HR function. We have put together a breakdown of our service to explain how RMS runs a brief and what you can expect during the recruitment of a candidate. The length of time this takes is very often dependant on how quickly the client wants to work. Sometimes it can take us 24 hours to recruit a candidate and other times it can take weeks depending on the availability of a client to interview and provide feedback on shortlists and interviews.
Client Visit
When you call our office with a job requirement, the consultant will arrange a time to come and see you at your office (within 24 hours preferably) together with a colleague so that you have a second point of contact if your consultant is not available. This visit to your offices is important for us to gain an insight into your environment, company culture and meet your personnel in order to select the best “fit” for your position. At this meeting your consultants will ask in-depth questions about the person you are looking for, the content of the job and the career opportunities to ensure the placement will be a long-term success. This enables us to entice the best and most suitable candidates into your company by giving a thorough presentation and details of the opportunity.
Our Search
On returning from a client visit we will hold a “debriefing” meeting with all the consultants to brainstorm our top candidates for the position and select the best people for your role from a database of over 1000 candidates.
In addition to assessing candidates that we have currently available, included in the fee, is an advertising campaign compiled from a selection of newspaper and internet sites. These job adverts keep your company name confidential to prevent candidates approaching you directly.
Candidate Screening
All our consultants undergo a thorough and rigorous training programme when they join RMS and all have experience of working as a PA so they understand their candidates and the roles they are recruiting for.
Candidates are given an in-depth interview and have a relaxed, open discussion about their career objectives and aspirations. We test their skills in grammar, spelling and accuracy and check their typing and computer skills.
Shortlist
Once we have drawn up a “long list” we then discuss the position with suitable candidates and gauge their interest in the position and from here we draw up a shortlist of between two and six candidates depending on suitability.
Feedback
After each interview we ask candidates to give in-depth feedback on the meeting so that we can assess their interest and provide relevant feedback to you which is a helpful denominator in your decision process. We also ask that our clients give us honest and comprehensive feedback so that we can improve our accuracy of matching and perhaps change future interviews.
Our Offer
Once you have decided which candidate you want to recruit we present your offer (subject to references) to the selected candidate, which will include basic salary plus any company benefits. We can advise you on the salary that we believe the candidate will accept in order to secure an acceptance of your offer.
Once the offer has been accepted we then recommend that you take out at least two references including at least one verbal. Once references are checked we then recommend you send at least an offer in writing and preferably a contract of employment which the candidate can check, sign and return before starting with you.
Four-month Guarantee
We offer a four-month guarantee on all our placements because we are not only confident in the quality of service we offer but also because we want to maintain long-term relationships with our clients, and if a candidate has not worked we like to feel that we are able to support you, find a replacement and overcome any future recruitment problems.
Our guarantee gives a free replacement if the candidate leaves within the first month or a 75% refund, 75% refund in the second month, 50% in the third and 25% refund if the candidate leaves within four months (subject to the conditions expressed in our Terms of Business).
After Sales Service
We invoice you for the balance of the recruitment fee on the candidate’s commencement of employment and ask that you settle this invoice within two weeks to qualify for our Four-Month Guarantee.
We keep in contact with both you and the successful candidate over the course of the first few months to check that both you and the candidate are happy. Whilst this information is confidential we do encourage candidates to address any problems they have directly with you so that you have an opportunity to resolve any outstanding issues.
